- CANDLES -

Where do you make your candles?
All of our candles are hand poured in the heart of the Scottish Highlands – Inverness.

What do you use to make candles?
Our candles are made only of natural, renewable soy wax; vegan, cruelty-free and phthalate-free fragrance oils; cotton wicks and decorated with dried botanicals. They are hand poured into amber glass jars with aluminium lids or clear glass jars with glass lids and silicon seal. The labels attached to the jars are made of compostable sugarcane and hemp by-product or recycled paper embedded with wildflowers seeds.

What is soy wax and why do you use it?
Soy wax is a vegetable wax derived from soybean. It is a processed form of soybean oil and it's vegan friendly.
We use only soy wax in our candles as it has a cleaner, healthier and longer burn time than traditional petroleum based paraffin candles.

How long do your candles burn for?
- Clear glass candle (280g of wax) burns for approx. 60hrs.
- Amber glass candle (100g of wax) burns for approx. 20hrs.
The information about volume and burning time is shown on the labels. We put together candle care tips HERE.

How can I expand the life of my soy wax candles?
We described everything HERE, if you follow these simple tips, it will provide a better burn and make your candle last for longer.

Why does my candle have imperfections on the top/sides?
The answer is simple, soy wax is a natural and clean wax which reacts to the temperature changes. Please note that “wet spots” (patches or air bubbles visible through glass) or “frosting effect” are extremely common with 100% soy wax candles and it makes them special! We’re happy to say this doesn't affect the burning or quality of the candle.

Can my order be sent as a gift?
Of course! If you want it to be sent directly to the recipient, remember to add her/his address as shipping address (different to billing address) at the checkout. Leave us a message if you would like to include a note!

How do you pack my order?
We're happy to say that our packaging is plastic free!
Each candle is hand wrapped in recycled kraft paper with compostable sticker, secured with corn starch eco fill and placed in a cardboard box, sealed with fully recyclable paper tape. The corn starch 'puffs' are compostable, if you don't have a compost bin, you can also dissolve them in warm water.
